Department of Health Whitening Ingredients Announcement：

 

1. Vitamin C (Ascorbyl Glucoside)：Concentration is limited to 3%, as stipulated by Department of Health. It is important for helping metabolism, healing wounds, and repairing organization. It also helps the synthesis, anti-inflammation, fade rash, protection, anti-oxidization, and strengthen immunity of collagen.

 

2. Vitamin C (Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate；MAP)：Concentration is limited to 2%, as stipulated by Department of Health. Whitening in durable capsule wrapping carries 30 times the active ingredient, reaches the inner cells, and releases slowly the active ingredient, to prolong its function and effectiveness. Besides whitening the skin, Vitamin C has also the effect of promoting anti-aging, eliminating wrinkles of collagen, and proliferating elastic fiber base. The duration of the beautifying effect exceeds 24 hours.

 

3. Vitamin C (Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate；SAP)：Concentration is limited to 3%, as stipulated by Department of Health. Once it is absorbed into the skin, phosphate enzymes break it down, which releases the Vitamin C to perform the task of restoration. MAP is more stable than Vitamin C and is not as easy to oxidize. It also functions to suppress the activation of tyrosine enzymes and the formation of melanin.

 

4. Arbutin：Concentration is limited to 7%, as stipulated by Department of Health. It has the functions of whitening, eliminating wrinkles, anti-free radicals, suppressing tyrosine enzyme, decreasing the growth speed of melanin, and making the color of skin transparent, white, and bright.

 

5. Kokjic Acid：Concentration is limited to 2%, as stipulated by Department of Health. Kojic acid is the compound of r-pyrone, extracted from the fermented liquid of Kojic fungal genus and Penicillin fungal genus. Its mechanism functions combine with copper ion to stop the formation of tyrosine enzymes and to decrease the activity of tyrosine enzymes. (In the melanin formation process, copper ion acts as a catalyst. The formation of tyrosine enzymes needs the combination of copper ion to completely activate them.) Kojic Acid also blocks the formation of intermediate products of melanin and dilutes black spot by suppressing the formation of melanin.

 

6. Chamomile Extract (Chamomile ET)：Concentration is limited to 0.5%, as stipulated by Department of Health. It prevents the growth of black spots and freckles, and is effective in easing skin sensitivity, eliminating edema, strengthening the organization, and increasing elasticity. It has a special healing effect on dry and itchy skin.

 

7. Ellagic Acid：The concentration limit is 0.5%, as stipulated by Department of Health. It suppresses the activity of tyrosine enzyme and the proliferation of melanin, and makes the skin bright and white. It has also the diluting effect to the pigment sediment after inflammation.

 

8. Tranexamic Acid：Concentration is limited to 2%-3%, as stipulated by Department of Health. The product needs to be checked as a registered drug-containing cosmetic. It was originally used in medicine as an anti-inflammation agent known as blood inflammation stopper. It was found later to have excellent whitening effect in cosmetology. It suppresses the activity of tyrosine enzyme, slows down the formation of melanin effectively to improve skin problems, keeps the skin transparent and restores its white and natural skin color.
